I took the Savvy Style class, and it was awesome. So often as actors we have no idea what basic first impressions we're giving, and it's easy to overlook how important they are in an audition. This class was about getting input from actual other people (not just the demons/angels in our own heads!) about what perceptions of ourselves we were creating in the room, and how to align our appearance (our look) with the brand elements we're trying to market. It was both a valuable confirmation of things I already suspected, and a real eye-opener to things I didn't. These guys, and the professionals they bring in for their classes, know exactly what they're talking about. Great experience!

Taking the Savvy Actor's Business class was an amazing step in building my career. All my previous training was focused on craft; Jodie and Kevin helped me realize how to incorporate my inner-most essence in order to build my career. I'm more confident in my auditions and meetings because I now know what I bring into a room. I highly recommend them to all actors as a supportive, enlightening and empowering resource.

Having recently returned to the business after a decade away, I was drowning in a sea of new technology and a complete lack of focus as to where I would now fit in the industry. My rescue came in the form of two very smart, highly motivated individuals, whose obvious passion for the business of acting is undeniable. After recently completing The Savvy Actor "Turn Your Craft Into Your Business" course, I am ahead of my own proposed schedule. Since returning to the business, I have just booked my first National Network commercial for Lowe's Valspar paint and signed with Don Buchwald's office. My main goal was to get back on the commercial audition circuit and that has already happened. I will continue to work with Kevin Urban through private coaching. During the course, he was able to focus on each client and switch gears instantly to address their individual needs. I highly recommend The Savvy Actor to, certainly any newcomers to the business, but also actors who have been working with success in the industry and are wanting to take their careers in a new direction or have simply aged into a new phase and need to revamp their marketing strategy.
Many thanks to The Savvy Actor.

Let me tell all and sundry that The Savvy actor is the real deal! Kevin and Jodie have created a business that puts YOU first, front and center. Along with the estimable Doug Shapiro, no actor can have a better team with whom to work to define creative and career goals. Their 5-week class is a must do: whether an actor is widely experienced all over the USA and Europe, as I am, or is just starting out, SAvvy Actor WILL help you target your game according to your own personal dreams and desires. It is some of the best career development money any actor can spend. Just DO IT.

Are you an actor, comedian, singer or a performer? Well I recommend Savvy Actor to help you with your business plan. Don’t have one! well you came to the right place. Before I took "What's Your Funny?" with the Savvy Actor taught by the owner Kevin Urban I didn’t have a cue about my brand, marketing potential and future plans. After working with Mr. Urban I am on the path to my dream of creating, writing, producing and performing my one women show called PUSSINOMICS. The workshop was reasonable priced and the class instruction was informative and personal. It was the best investment I made for my acting career.

Jodie is so sharp and skilled. She helps keep my goals
in focus. I recommend private coaching along with the Savvy Actor Manual.Add a few Savvy Actor seminars and classes and you'll "cut to the chase"and not waste time, money ,or energy doing things that get you nowhere. I wish she'd been around when I started out!

The Savvy Actor is such an important business and even though I have only had the opportunity to work with them twice, I learned valuable lessons that I have been applying to my career. I highly recommend the career manual as well!

I think Savvy Actor has really helped honed my business. Eventhough I've only worked with them once, their suggestions have stuck with me and been extremely useful. It would be great to have more time with them; it could only get better

SAVVY ACTOR opened up a whole new world for me! I am suddenly more focused on what I want to be as an actor, as opposed to who they want me to be.

Sup Peeps,
I have to say that I love this class. Kevin and Jodie the their entire staff are so positive and so support and they want nothing but the best out of each student. I felt so safe to talk about my fears and I wasn't afraid to ask for help because that's what they are there for to help actors succeed. They have given me tools that will be with me for a life time. The students in my class were so talented and they were so helpful with their feedback on my resume, head shots and my goals. I now have a 1 year, 5 year and even a 10 career plan. I have a list of all the shows that I am right for on TV, Broadway..etc. I know my product and I am defining it still- everyday. I am Thankful for this class. Every actor NEED not should but NEED to take The Savvy Actor's Turn your Craft into a Business.

I am so glad that I found out about the Savvy Actor because I really needed help in taking the next step for my career. So many people try to make themselves into something they are not in order to please others but the Savvy Actor encourages you to be who you truly are. When I took my first workshop there, I received comment sheets from everyone who attended. I couldn't believe how much it helped to hear so many people's first impressions for what I was doing right and what I needed to work on. Their one on one sessions help you focus on how to better market yourself. These are the details that I haven't been able to get anywhere else. The Savvy Actor's amazing!

I just finished the 5-week business course and it was way more than I ever expected! The wealth of information I received will take me another 2-3 months to digest and implement...that's how much knowledge and resources we were given! (I got more than my money's worth.) I am now ahead of the game have a clear strategic path as to how I will become successful in my career! So thankful I found them!

Actors have many places they can go to study acting, voice, or movement but that is only one part of what is needed to be a working actor. The people at SAVVY ACTOR provide a wonder roadmap on defining who you are and what you have to sell to the acting community; then they help you map out ways to make inroads into the industry. They are a positive force.
