Annie Wood is a talented individual both on stage and off. This book is brilliant and funny and a definite must for anyone looking to get into the business. It’s also great to have around for a quick smile.

It is so hard to find good well written current scenes these days! Annie Wood is not only a fantastic writer, but she's also an actress who's in the trenches and understands what is needed in a short scene. She gets character, story, and most of all, what people want to watch!

The writing is brilliant, funny, original. The scenes are a treat to work on and always layered to bring out the best in the actors. It's wonderful material. I love this book and highly recommend it.

Annie Wood is a phenomenal comedic writer. Her sense of timing is matched only by her deep understanding of complex relationships. Even when strangers meet in Annie’s scenes, their dialogue is rich and nuanced, peppered with delightfully humorous and REAL moments. I’ve seen actors do amazing things armed with Annie’s words. Her voice as a comedic writer is clear, specific, and sitcom ready. I highly recommend this book!

Annie Wood is a breath of fresh air! Annie has, hands down, written the best material out there. I teach workshops on a regular basis and 95% of my scenes are written by Annie. That has made all the difference!
