Joanna Brooks is fantastic!! I spotted a friend's new shots on Facebook and had to know who the photographer was. They were so fabulous I assumed the session was priced outrageously. After learning that Joanna took my friend's photos, I perused her website and found brilliant headshot after brilliant headshot, and a shockingly reasonable price point. I'd been looking for a new photographer for months and had been hesitant to book with anyone (there was no one whose work I fell in love with), but after seeing Joanna's work there was zero hesitation - I booked immediately and am so glad I did!!

The session was fun, easy and relaxed. It was NOT one of those typical turn 'em and burn 'em sessions, where you're in a sterile studio and the next appointment is in hair and makeup while the photographer hurries to finish up your shots. With Joanna, and her hair and makeup artists, you'll receive all the personalised attention necessary to create amazing headshots.

My agent and I had a difficult time narrowing down my shoot, because each look yielded tons of great shots. Ever since posting my new photos to Actors Access and LA Casting my auditions have multiplied. I almost can't keep up! It's fantastic! Also, upon seeing my shoot uploaded to Facebook, several friends have already booked their own session with Joanna.

Joanna Brooks is a god-send. She really took my personality in and from that we were able to grab SO many great looks from our shoot. Her price is right and her retouching is spot on. Search no more...call Joanna!

Wanted to let anyone know who is thinking about shooting with Joanna:
"DO IT!!!". Seriously, actors, I just uploaded the shots I got with Joanna Brooks and I had five, yes 5, auditions last week. All great episodic stuff, this is not about me bragging, it's about you deciding to shoot with this lady! You won't regret it.

I got my headshots taken by Joanna Brooks after multiple attempts with other photographers, in the past, that left my feeling dissatisfied. Joanna was AMAZING. She truly has an eye for this line of business and her work is proof of it. I received nothing but positive feedback and wished I had found out about her sooner.The vibrancy and clarity in each photo she took blew me away and her ability to capture my different personalities and help my piece together my looks, is an art all of her own. From the comfortable and fun shoot, to answering any questions I had, and helping me decide which photos represent me best, Joanna is definitely my go-to girl. Thanks so much Joanna!

I'm not sure I can say enough nice things about my shoot with Joanna. She was so friendly and welcoming, I felt at ease from the get-go.
Not only is she truly skilled at lighting and picking backgrounds, she is great at chatting with you through the shoot and making the entire process fun.
I love how quickly she helped me pick wardrobe ideas and how much energy she brings to each shoot. I will definitely be back to shoot with her again the next time I need headshots.

We first saw work of Joaana Brooks when we looked at Backstage and could tell right away that this was someone who worked well with kids. Joaana is a beautiful high energy person and her personality is infections. Just brought the very best out of our daughter during the shoot and knew just how to put her in the best shots. I didnt even know that you could photographers can be so good that the photos require absolutely no retouching before sending them to print and using them for auditions (at least ours didnt) Joanna is quite probably the best photographer I have ever seen in person.

I found Joanna through my agency. She was their top pick, and she was their top pick for a reason. Joanna not only is a unbelievably amazing photographer, but she truly knows lighting, she can pick your best side, your best attributes, your wardrobe within seconds is picked, she is a master at her craft. She keeps things so level and at ease, you will find yourself so comfortable and not even worrying about how you look, if you are doing the right thing or not. She also has some fantastic shooting locations around her home, another master trait she just has naturally. I received my shoots back within a day and my CD within 2 days. I just had her retouch my photos (another must with her) and got them back within the day. She puts her job first and her clients and truly understand this business and what needs to be done on a daily basis. Trust me whole heartedly on this. Book Joanna and when you get your shots back you will not be disappointed one bit.

Not only is Joanna an amazingly talented photographer, she takes the time to learn about you and really tailors the shoot to your needs. I was blown away by how fast she got my shots back to me! The hardest part was choosing the best one. She is simply the best.

This is by far the best headshot photographer in the industry!
I had so much fun and she makes you feel so relaxed!
The best thing about her? I started booking like crazy when I started using her pictures!!!!

Jo is also a talented, creative painter. Her terrific sense of composition is another plus in producing head shots. She is the only photographer who has consistently pleased both my commercial and theatrical agents. They always choose the same shots!

Joanna makes the whole headshot experience comfortable and fun. She has the perfect balance of listening to the needs to the actor and giving her advice on what would look best.
I tried out another headshot photographer and when I started using those instead of Joanna's I stopped getting called in! My agent BEGGED me to go back to Joanna and get new headshots, and as soon as I did, the auditions started rolling in. I know there's no "magic bullet" for headshots that are going to get you work, but I'm pretty sure Joanna is as close as you can get to one. She's worth every penny!!

Joann puts you right at ease ridding you of the anxiety and worry that can ruin your photo. Then her expertise does the job of getting you the shot that will make you stand out. Just look at her site to see all the beautiful people. She's your best bet.

Oh, and I've gotten rave reviews from fellow actors, casting directors, and agents that I've submitted to. I've already found a commercial agent and every agent interview I went to they asked me who the photographer was and complimented how great her work is.

Jo's the best! She's friendly, approachable, professional, and just plain good at what she does. She has a keen eye for what works and what doesn't and knows how to capture the essence of you so that your real you is on the picture, which is important to CD's and she knows how a CD thinks. Super knowledgeable, intelligent, talented, easy-going, has the cutest dog ever to keep you company during your shoot, and is affordable. Just top notch.

Working with Joanna surpassed all my expectations. The shoot was relaxed and fun. It produced a wide range of excellent shots to choose from. This was my first year auditioning in LA and I am positive that if I didn't have such great headshots I never would've gotten in the door of all the auditions I got. Every single one of them was due to Joanna Brooks. I can't thank her enough.
Book an appointment with her. It will be the best move you've made all year.

Do yourself a favor, if you want to work with a photographer who is professional, creates a wonderful atmosphere and gets the best head shots for you, then stop what you are doing and book an appointment with Joanna.You will thank yourself... and don't forget to thank her! She is AMAZING!!

Joanna Is Absolutely Amazing!!!!!!!!
She has such a beautiful spirit, that she just makes you feel at peace. When you are investing in product that you have to present the World that represents "You", you want a professional and someone who cares, and she is BOTH!!!! I Love Her!! :)

Joanna is the BEST! I have returned to her again and again -- when I've changed my hair, aged a bit, or just wanted to try a different look. My agents and my manager are always pleased with the work she does and I've always been thrilled with the shots. More importantly, I have fun shooting with Joanna. The photographers I've worked with in the past always made me feel a bit nervous. I didn't get great shots despite seeing expensive, "name" headshot photographers. Joanna puts me at ease, which is probably why the shots turn out so great! I highly recommend her!!! Yep, that's right -- three exclamation points.
