The Actor's Comedy Studio is one of the best classes in town, hands down. Todd is a wonderful teacher who is also a working professional actor, and is very honest with his acting notes and suggestions.
The Actor's Comedy Studio is the only class I've taken so far that is devoted to sitcom acting - all of you actors out there that want to be on TV, this class is a must!
There is never a wasted minute in class at ACS...all of the classes are well structured so that every actor/actress gets to perform 2-3 times EVERY CLASS and every performance is recorded to be reviewed at the end of the night! Getting to perform, get notes and then review my own performance has helped me get more comfortable in front of the camera and learn where I need to trim bad habits and become more expressive. Todd rocks!

This class offers actors two things they sorely need: An opportunity to perform in front of a camera EVERY SESSION and challenges them to develop strong comedic characters! Todd's Acting for Sitcoms is currently the only class anywhere in the Los Angeles area that is specifically dedicated to learning the art of the Sitcom. Under his tutelage, I've gained a greater perspective of what CDs casting Sitcoms will be looking for.
Catering to every level of comedic actor, this class is worth the investment!

If you're looking to get some solid on-camera training, make sure you check this place out. Todd Rohrbacher is an incredible teacher with great insights, especially when it comes to acting for sitcoms.
You get to work 2-3 times per night, you get great feedback and tips, and then you review your performance afterward to see how you look on camera. AND, class is a blast in a half; I laugh more in this class than I do at some comedy clubs.
Class at ACS is one of the few I recommend for actors here in Los Angeles. I've taken quite a few, and this has easily been one of the best (and most enjoyable). If you're curious, make sure to catch one of his free audits!

Todd and Bill are all class...they combine several years experience in the commercial casting world to give their actors all the tools required to actually BOOK JOBS!!! With Todd's experiences in front of the camera and Bill's experiences behind, there isn't a question a student could ask that these two can't answer. My favorite aspect of the class is definitely how much you get up and work in front of the camera. They keep their talks short, sweet, and to the point which means more time on our feet. We got put on tape at least twice each and every class with a wide variety of commercial copy! So rare for classes in LA...Bill and Todd are the killer combo that you need to make the next step in your commercial career...THANK YOU GUYS!!!

I highly recommend LA's Best Commercial Workshop with Todd Rohrbacher and Bill Bailey at ACS!! The workshop was incredibly helpful, and definitely prepared me to knock commercial auditions out of the park! Bill taught us what to expect and how to nail every type of commercial audition that we might go out for. Todd taught us how to hone our own comedy skills, gave us feedback in each class, and worked with us to improve our improv skills. The workshop was a lot of fun, too!! I met so many great people in the class, and feel prepared to stand out in commercial auditions!! I absolutely loved this workshop at ACS!!

If you think you're funny and want to act in sitcoms and commercials then I highly recommend taking Todd Rohrbacher's sitcom acting class, Todd and G. Charles Wright's one day comedy intensive and Todd and Bill Bailey's commercial acting class. All three classes were very specific in their information for breaking down the different characters in sitcoms, comedy, and commercials. If you already think you're funny take these classes and find out how to hone your funny. If you don't think you're funny then take these classes to find your funny. I guarantee you will have a blast in the process, learn a lot, and come out better looking than you were before.

Actors Comedy Studio has helped me find my voice... ACS is such a loving, caring environment where you are able to spread your wings, take risks, and really improve your craft. There is LITERALLY no better place to study comedy as Todd Rohrbacher is the smartest comedy teacher in Los Angeles. Trust me when I say, there is a reason ACS only gets 5 stars... it's because, as a student, you are nurtured and your talent is cultivated... what more could you ask for?!

One of the most important aspects of any learning environment is feeling comfortable, and Todd and Bill did just that. Their critiques are honest and blunt, and done with kindness, which is conducive to learning and improving. I am new to the whole industry and didn't know what to expect, and what I found surprising was that I was able to let my guard down and be myself. The fact that we were taped every time was extremely useful, as seeing oneself in action is an invaluable tool. I screwed up plenty of times, and found that I am able to laugh at myself. And so was everyone else!! It may sound silly to say about a commercial acting class, but taking it allowed me to become much more aware of myself. I don't mean just more aware of my physicality on camera, but also of myself as a person.

The ACS commercial class proved incredibly useful and was a lot of fun. Todd Rohrbacher and Bill Bailey give you both the booking actor's and the casting director's points of view, and there is a plenty of valuable inside scoop to be had... It was especially refreshing to experience not only getting a firmer grasp on the business part of commercial auditions, but also to experience two instructors that aimed to bring out the relaxed, authentic, confident and creative person you need to be to make an impression during a casting session. I learned a couple valuable things that will go beyond just my work in commercials to help me succeed in many different areas of my life as a performer. Gotta love that...

Run don’t walk to sign up at ACS! I have known and studied with Todd for about 4 years now, with a few breaks here and there to explore other classes in LA. However, I keep coming back because there really is a sense of being home at this studio. It amazes me how he keeps reinventing his lessons as the years go by, and the material never becomes stale. His notes and adjustments are always right on, and never fail to make the scenes funnier. You get a taste of all the following in Todd’s classes: cold reading, audition technique, scene study, TV single camera, TV multi-camera, improv, film comedy, basic scene study, character analysis, etc. We also celebrate good news and share helpful info on the biz each week before class starts. It’s really a supportive environment, and I’ve made my best friends in LA through these classes. What a great feeling to be part of a group where you are learning, growing and being with people you respect and love to be around. Oh, and most importantly, laughing your ass off!

I am new to Actor’s Comedy Studio but really enjoy it. Having been at several different schools/studios over the years, there is such a positively-charged atmosphere ACS that you can’t help but get energized. Having carved out a nice commercial career I’m a little overwhelmed at tackling the long-neglected theatrical side. But being at ACS already feels like a big step in the right direction. I have worked with the owner Todd before, and he is a great teacher: direct, supportive, knowledgeable, and above all else, genuinely funny.

I have had the pleasure of having Todd Rohrbacher as my teacher for many years! He is crazy in tune with the world that is Television Comedy...and his knowledge, experience and humor makes him an excellent teacher! Now, combine those attributes with a studio that is the MOST progressive and forward thinking in L.A...or anywhere for that matter! Actor’s Comedy Studio has opened many doors for me. I am NOT the most technologically proficient person around! But, being at this studio has allowed me to gain invaluable knowledge about self-production and the inner-workings of comedy on all levels. I feel ahead of the game in this new facet of the entertainment business called New Media! I won’t go into all the details...but, if I wanted to, I could write, create, produce a short film/webisode/FEATURE (including production studios, editors, you name it) with all the knowledge I’ve received. The quality of student at ACS is a testament to Todd’s hard work, intelligence, and passion for what he does! I know I can bring the funny but, with Todd as my teacher, I can bring it AND BOOK IT! Word!

Todd is wonderful. In Los Angeles, it is rare to find a teacher that not only knows what he is talking about, but is able to relay that information in such a way that students, who come from all different backgrounds, can all understand. And, most importantly, without a huge ego, any sort of upsell, or having to sit through some sort of stand up act. He truly wants you to succeed, and goes above and beyond to help you make that happen.
The class itself is structured in such a way that challeneges you to grow, and offers a safe place to do it. Truly the best class I have taken in the three years I have been here.

Todd is a great teacher and director. He sees everyone's potential and helps them achieve it. Whether he's directing a scene or punching up a script, he knows how to cut away the extra and get right down to what's the best choice for a scene. He's insightful, smart and funny and an amazing supportive force.

I have taken many, many classes in los Angeles, ranging from acting scene study to comedy to improv. There are very few teachers or schools that "get it". Todd is at the top of the list! He understands what it means to be an actor and deliver what is needed on screen and on stage. If you are trying to accomplish any level of success in this business, as an actor, you NEED to study with Todd Rohrbacher.

I've been in this town for a LOT of years, more years than I want to admit. I've taken more classes than I could afford. This is the only class I looked forward to EVERY week. So much laughter. So much insight. The script analysis that is taught in this class will change your auditioning process for ANY project, comedy or drama ... for life.

Todd Rohrbacher is simply one of the most insightful acting coaches out there. I've both taken his classes and had him coach me privately for auditions and he not only gave me excellent direction, but I left the session completely prepared and confident about my work. I'm so glad that he has his own studio. It's a terrific place to learn and the entire staff is great.

Todd Rohrbacher is simply the best! I’ve taken both acting and improv classes with him over several years and have worked harder and smarter than I ever thought I could. As a result I’ve developed strength and confidence in my work and now possess the right tools and skill set to enable me to get the jobs I want. Todd loves his students and treats them with respect and intelligence. He expects nothing less than the best from his students and gets amazing results, while still keeping things fun.

Todd is an amazing teacher! He is so specific, and really helps each actor find their individual strengths. His insights are spot- on not only with comedy technique but especially when he breaks down scripts with you. His audition coaching has been excellent for me! His comedic sensibility is the best in town. The best.

If you're paying attention, you'll see that comedy is becoming more and more prevalent on TV, film and the web. Even in drama, it's important to know how to inject some humour to add interest and depth to the story. Todd Rohrbacher is a founder and coach at this comedy studio, and he has a gift for teaching funny. He pays attention to every individual and helps them to find what's uniquely funny about themselves. He's truly committed to giving the best materials and the best of himself to his students, and that's invaluable in a teacher. Another bonus for studying at this studio is the business skills that they teach towards developing an acting career.

When I met Todd, I had done some improve and had co-wrote and preformed in a two woman show. But Todd helped me bring that freedom into scripted form. His knowledge of turn arounds and bottoms is endless! Todd is a great teacher!! He helped me fine tune the funny in me!
I found an acting teacher who gives great constructive criticism. He's really amazing! I love to watch him work with other people as well... because no tweak goes unnoticed.
The class is high energy, always exciting! And I love that you get to go up 2-3 times per class!

Having been a student of Todd's for quite a while, it's tough to encapsulate briefly all the ways he's helped me as an actor- but let me just express a few points.
Performing comedy on camera is a discipline unto itself, and I haven't encountered anyone who comes close to Todd in teaching this vital skill. He brings both an overall technique to his teaching as well as a keen eye for what individual students bring to the table in terms of their essence- and what each student especially needs to work on. There hasn't been a single audition I've gone into as a professional in which I haven't employed the lessons I've received from Todd. I can't recommend him enough.
